Glenn Andrew ‘Andy’ McCardle

Glenn Andrew "Andy" McCardle, 55, of Gaithersburg, Md. died peacefully on June 4, 2023, at his home.

"Andy" was born in West Chester, Pa. He graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School in Mill Hall, Pa. and later graduated from Penn State with a degree in Foreign Service and International Politics.

Andy most recently served the Data Integrity and Reports Officer for the International Organization for Migration in the Washington, D.C. office. He traveled worldwide helping the oppressed and people most in need.

Spending time with his family was his favorite. Visits to his parents and time spent with his daughters were the best. He lived an honorable and faithful life.

Andy is survived by his parents Lee and Margaret McCardle and brother Jeffrey McCardle of State College, Pa., brother Timothy McCardle of Medford, N.J.; daughters Sofia McCardle and Victoria McCardle of Silver Spring, Md.; and other nieces, nephews and friends.

Arrangements are with Thibadeau Mortuary Service of Gaithersburg, Md. and Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home of Milesburg, Pa.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home, 201 Spring St., Milesburg. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. with the funeral following at 4 p.m.

Interment will be at Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery in West Chester, Pa. on Saturday, June 10 at 1 p.m.
